Hotel Golden Gate Dx

We arrived at night with our family and luggage, only to be told that FabHotel Golden Gate Deluxe, Paharganj had no rooms, despite our confirmed booking through MakeMyTrip and confirmation from FabHotels. We showed the booking details, but the owner was arrogant and made no effort to resolve it. When FabHotels support called several times, I could see the phone ringing in front of us, but he initially wouldn’t answer. Later, when an associate asked to speak with him, he claimed there was no booking and that the hotel was full. FabHotels then said there was “some issue” and told us to cancel through MakeMyTrip, saying they couldn’t help further. So we had to wander around Paharganj late at night looking for another hotel, and pay much more for last-minute accommodation. It was a terrible experience. Confirmed bookings seem to mean nothing here, with no accountability, coordination, or basic courtesy for guests. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel on any online platform. You may still be denied check-in even with a confirmed reservation.
