Hotel Kyron

I was made to wait more than two hours, even though the official check-in time was 11 AM. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, and treated us as if we were getting a free stay instead of paying guests. I was even threatened with being made to leave the premises if I didn’t wait until 2 PM. That’s unacceptable and far below what I expect from a hotel of this standard.

The food in the morning was stale, and nothing about this cheap place felt worth the money. The staff treated us like we didn’t belong there, and the beds felt like rocks. There was no heating, so I woke up cold with a runny nose and cough after a very cold night. My grandparents also found bed bugs in their rooms and had to switch rooms. Hot water gets shut off at 6 pm, so you have to ask them to turn it back on. If you’re going to Delhi, please don’t book this hotel. It was the worst place I’ve stayed on vacation.

Staff were courteous, and there’s a comparatively big lobby and sitting area. The building has four floors with six rooms each, 24 in all. The rooms are a good size and neat, and hot water is available around the clock. It’s a good budget hotel in the Karol Bag market area, just 250 meters from a metro station. There’s no restaurant, but they have a dining area where they serve breakfast in the morning for a charge. Room service is available until 11.30pm.

We asked to switch rooms after finding ours smelled strongly of mold and seemed unhealthy. The receptionist said it could be changed later that night, but when we returned, he acted as if we’d never spoken. Staff sprayed something that looked like hairspray, and the smell got even worse. If you’re assigned a corner room, ask for another one. Terrible room, service, and hotel.
