Hotel O Unique Delhi Home Stay

The photos on OYO don’t look like the actual place, which feels misleading. I wouldn’t recommend it. We booked for three people, showed our IDs at check-in, and were still refused a room because of an argument about the guest count. No maximum occupancy policy was mentioned anywhere. If that was an issue, they should have said so when we booked. Now they’ve neither cancelled the booking nor refunded us. The behavior was extremely unprofessional and the experience very disappointing.

We booked two days but checked out after one. The room was a nightmare: insects everywhere, a cheap AC, dirty and hairy bedsheets and pillow covers, and a bathroom washbasin that didn’t work. At 1 am, after an hour of calls with OYO and the property owner, nothing had changed. I’d booked through OYO and confirmed the final price with the booking agent, but on arrival the reception staff added an extra guest and unexplained charges, doubling the agreed amount. They were all in on it, and there was no other option. Anything extra paid wasn’t refunded either, so I had to cancel the OYO booking and book offline at that price. There were also many suspicious activities in the area and the hotel basement. Couples, stay away. Horrible experience. I strongly advise against booking this or any hotel through OYO in Delhi. It all felt like a scam.

I paid online through Agoda, but when we arrived, the hotel was operating under a different name and there was no sign with the hotel name at the location. Staff told me to pay offline, saying the online payment would be refunded after 24 hours, and wanted more than I’d already paid. I refused, and then they said my booking wasn’t confirmed with them. The staff were no good and seemed to be running a scam. Very bad experience. Please don’t book this stay.

I had to stay because it was late and my family was with me, so I had no other option. Check the room before paying at the counter. They’ll say it’s very good, but don’t fall for it. Book ahead if you’re planning to stay with family. I booked two rooms at Rs.690 each and paid Rs.2157 at the counter. The bedsheets weren’t changed and had stains and hair on them. I complained, but they said no clean sheets were available. The room wasn’t clean, the toilet seat was broken, and there were no All Out mosquito repellents or slippers. The AC noise was unbearable. The reception staff member was very polite, but his only answer was, “kya kr skte hai yhi hai jo hai.”
