Hotel Revels By A1Rooms

The location was the first problem. It felt like the ugliest part of New Delhi and very dangerous. We’ve been to India four times, and this was the first time we were scared to go outside. We arrived at night, only to be told there were no rooms, even though we had booked through booking. We were sent to Hotel Revels, which was awful too. The hotel boy vanished after we got there, leaving us in a dirty room with sheets over windows that had no glass. There were cigarettes on the floor, and the sheets and floor were filthy. People from the hotel were sleeping on mattresses by the entrance. Disgusting and unhygienic. Booking this hotel was the worst thing we could have done. If you’re reading this, DO NOT GO. It was the worst experience of our lives.

The food was good, but the serving spoon wasn’t clean. We stayed three nights, and the only thing that worked properly was the hair dryer. The shower didn’t work, and there was no hot water. The old AC had no controls, so once it was switched on, there was only one setting. At check-in, cleaning hadn’t been done well and there was dust even on the table. We asked for the bed linen to be changed, but it still wasn’t changed properly. Front desk service was far below average. They should have front office staff who can speak to customers with a smile.

The room looked nothing like the listing, and I felt unsafe there. Stains covered the walls and bedding, and the place was dirty, uncomfortable, and unhygienic. The staff were rude, unfriendly, and no help at all. I massively regret booking it. Maybe the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We had a great stay apart from one issue: the bathroom faucet needs a little repair. We booked three rooms and found the same problem in each one. The staff were good, and the prices were affordable.
