Hotel Star Shine

We slept well on the comfortable bed, and the room was spacious, nicely furnished, and had lovely views. Housekeeping was quiet and reliable. The lobby was well kept, and the rooms were spotless. The team made the stay feel welcoming from the start. Staff helped with a quick room request and a dinner suggestion, and were friendly around the hotel. We also enjoyed the tasty meals at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet, which had plenty of choice. The location was close to major attractions while still peaceful enough for a good night's sleep. This is a rare find, and I'd happily come back on my next visit. Thanks to the whole team for making the stay memorable.

The rooftop kitchen served really tasty food, and the hotel is open 24/7. My room was very clean, and the reception area looked great, with a fully air-conditioned waiting space. They also provided all the bathroom essentials. The staff were good, and for this price the service was great. I really enjoyed my stay, and they kept things hygienic.

I left after trying a second room. Its AC was extremely noisy, so it was hard to rest. When I reported it, the manager said no other rooms were available and was rude. I had no choice but to check out and move elsewhere. Things had already gone badly in the first room. There was a leaky AC, with water spreading across the floor, and it kept switching off during the night before being off completely by morning. The bathroom had no doormat, the toilet seat was stained and not properly cleaned, and the ceiling lights flickered, probably because of an electrical issue. The phone didn't work, and the drawers had cockroaches and garbage left from the previous guest. We'd first gone to Hotel Pink City around 10 PM because its reviews looked decent, but the receptionist said there was no lift. We needed one, so they suggested the neighboring Hotel Starshine. We hadn't read its reviews, but checked the room before booking for the night. It looked decent at first, with clean white sheets and a fairly tidy appearance. I was alone at the hotel while my husband was out working, so I didn't feel comfortable confronting staff at night. I told the manager about everything the next morning. He was rude and dismissive, and only agreed to move me after I insisted and explained I was staying two more days. I hoped the new room would be better, but the first impression was already poor. I'd recommend checking a room in person before checking in.
