Nirvana Residency by OYO Rooms

The surroundings were noisy, with shouting outside and similar hotels nearby. I found the room stuffy, and the bathroom was dirty, with sink water spilling out. I wouldn't stay here with family: it's tucked away from the city, and I noticed teenagers checking in. We chose it because of the ratings, but now I understand that guests are pressured to leave good ones despite a bad stay.

I left within five minutes because the room was unbearable. It had no washroom, which the listing never disclosed, and the interiors looked shabby. A strong air freshener smell, possibly there to cover something up, made it hard to stay even that long. I booked expecting OYO room standards, but the experience was harrowing. OYO should make sure the listing has accurate details and actual photos for this hotel.

They don't let you bring in outside food, and the food there is pricey, though it tastes good. The room came with stained linen, curtains, and other waste material. Room service is supposedly world class 🦉. The manager also makes sure you give them five stars on the OYO app before leaving.

At checkout they claimed OYO hadn't sent the payment and asked me to show the receipt. I handed over my phone, not realizing they used it to rate their own hotel as the best. That came after a really bad stay in a small, dirty room with a heavily stained, unhygienic bedsheet. Don't trust the OYO app ratings.
