Novotel New Delhi City Centre

The rooftop bar was the standout for me, with lovely ambience, good music, and stunning views that made it a great place to unwind in the evening. The hotel is spacious and well maintained, suitable for gatherings, celebrations, or events. The restaurant food was fresh and full of flavor, with great presentation and quality. Staff were polite, attentive, and professional, service was quick, and the atmosphere felt premium and welcoming. I’d recommend it for good food, a classy rooftop bar, and comfortable space. I’d visit again.

We stayed at the Novotel New Delhi City Centre in February, and it didn’t feel like the 5-star hotel it was advertised to be. The area around it was extremely busy and chaotic, which was a real disappointment and not what we expected from a hotel with that rating. The air conditioning wasn’t working, and for our junior suite they provided just one heater. My daughter and I shared “The Grilled Chicken and Greens” at the hotel restaurant, then became unwell. After we got back to London, we were diagnosed with gastroenteritis (food poisoning). It significantly affected the end of our trip. I contacted the hotel afterwards to explain and ask about compensation. They offered a complimentary stay, but it had to be used before the end of 2026. Returning to Delhi within that period isn’t practical for us, so it didn’t feel like a meaningful resolution. We chose the hotel because it belongs to Accor. Over the past 18 months, we’d stayed at several of their other properties, including Banyan Tree hotels in Bangkok and Phuket and the Swissôtel in Singapore, and expected much better customer care. This left us feeling that loyalty and repeat business might not matter as much as we’d hoped. If something goes wrong during your stay, don’t expect much support or a useful resolution.

Joy at the Front Office handled everything proactively and kept to the quick digital communication I needed. I picked this location for convenience, but the service is why I’ll return. The housekeeping team, especially Rohit and Satyam, were efficient and respectful, and made sure everything was in order behind the scenes. Good to see Australian-level hospitality standards here. 5 stars!!

We had a pleasant stay. Ajay looked after us during meals, with attentive service, and the food was enjoyable. Joykumari helped at check-in and made sure everything was okay, which we appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable overall. It was noisy at first, but that issue was eventually sorted out.
