OYO 44400 Retreat Inn

We had to cancel and find somewhere else because the rooms smelled and the stairs were horrible. The hotel is on the third floor and there's no lift or elevator. Don't rely on the OYO pictures. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families or older people. OYO needs to improve its property details.

I booked through the OYO app, but they treated me as if I'd committed a crime. They seemed focused on making money. After talking it over, I cancelled the app booking and booked directly with them, and then they were happy. I don't think they have a licence, since there's no signboard.

I paid half the charge when I booked four days ahead, but when I arrived on the booking date the hotel refused to let me check in. They claimed they didn't accept online bookings and told me to make a new booking offline at a higher price. A very pathetic experience.

The location is just right, and the stay is very comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful with service or complaints. There's no cafe on site, but Zomato and Swiggy work well since delivery riders can reach the place easily.
