OYO 77279 Hotel Grand inn

We stayed for two days with colleagues, in a room booked directly by the company. The high OYO House ratings made us think it was one of the better options, but after staying there, I felt they couldn’t have come from actual guests. It was an awful hotel experience for me. Don’t rely on reviews, and visit before booking or find somewhere better. At reception they asked for our IDs, which is good practice. But while we were doing the formalities, two separate men arrived with women and asked to book rooms for a few hours. Reception let them in without asking for IDs. We saw the same thing the next day, so I didn’t think it was suitable for families or married couples. The rooms were dusty and poorly cleaned, with ash on the broken bedside table and on the bed. The sheet was dirty with visible footprints, and the blanket had a torn white cover. The tiles looked like bathroom tiles. The TV was an 18-inch TFT monitor. I got the impression the guest house might be used for other activities too, though I’d rather not say more. Its standard wasn’t even as good as a government guest house. The washrooms were cramped, with the toilet and bathing area practically the same space. Taps leaked and the drain had problems. When we entered the room, a bathroom towel was on the floor by the bed and the sheet looked used. The complimentary breakfast was included because we paid about Rs. 3000 per day through the OYO app. It took nearly 75 minutes to arrive, and was poor quality: two aloo paranthas, oily and not fresh, not even wrapped in foil, plus only two or three spoons, or a quarter bowl, of curd. I promise you, you won’t want it. As we were leaving for the office, we saw a man arrive with a woman, book a room, and the woman went up to the first floor. OYO’s hotel standards in Delhi surprised me, and this stay left me with a bad impression of OYO bookings too. At checkout, the reception guys pressured me to give them five stars in front of them. This place wasn’t worth more than Rs. 500, and I don’t recommend it to families or married couples.
