South Indian Hotel

I arrived at Delhi station around 8pm on 24 January after booking three nights, 24-27 January 2026, through AGODA with a good discount. The hotel manager's number on the confirmation page sent me to another number. That person first said there was no booking in my name and that they didn't take Agoda bookings. On my next call, I was told to wait until 9:30 PM while they prepared a room. After I had already wasted two hours at the station, they refused the booking and initially said nothing about a refund. There was no way to contact an Agoda agent directly. I was helpless, so I asked a friend to book me a room in Karol Bagh. He got Hotel Delhi Pride for INR 2000, which also turned out to be a disaster. Never book these OYO kind of hotels.

From check-in right through checkout, everything was hassle-free and the service was very good. I had a really nice experience and would love to visit again.

We couldn't spend the night there and left after asking for a refund. The staff took over 20 minutes to come and sort it out, then said we had to pay 25% because we'd already checked in. We just wanted to get out quickly, so we paid the 25% in cash. It was an experience we'd rather forget. We'd booked two rooms through Booking.com in November 2024, and the photos had looked nice. The hotel was hard to spot, with little frontage and a narrow entrance, and we missed it the first time and had to turn around. It looked more like a minicab office than a hotel. The waiting room was old, narrow, and grubby, and a narrow passage led to the lift and rooms. The hotel is on a very busy road where traffic barely moves. It was noisy and the area wasn't clean. We arrived after 11pm, tired, and only really noticed the hotel's condition once we reached our rooms. Both smelled of urine. They had very little furniture, and what was there, including the bed, had seen better days.
