The Golden Bridge by OYO Rooms

I was told the owner had used my room after I found a burnt bidi on my bag one evening. There are no locks on the rooms, so I didn't feel my things were safe. The staff were helpful, at least. The place feels more like an hourly-rate inn for young couples. I had already paid Agoda for four nights, so leaving would have meant losing that money. Arriving before check-in cost an extra 250 rupees for just one hour. The room was in poor shape and clearly hadn't been maintained. The lift doesn't work, and they aren't going to repair it. There's no cook, so there's no food available. The AC didn't work, and the bathroom ran out of water and had leaking taps. Management needs to maintain the place and improve it. As it is, staying here feels like a waste of money and could be injurious to health.

After three hours of arguing, I went up to a very dirty room. The bathroom was extremely unhygienic, the TV didn't work, the AC barely worked, and there was no water in the bathroom or wash basin. I booked through oyo. Akash, the manager, claimed he couldn't see my booking and said the hotel was full, but that he could give me a room if I booked offline. After three hours of harassment, I paid him 2000 rupees, twice the rent, while also having paid OYO. A room that was supposed to cost 800 rupees ended up costing me 3000. He took advantage of me being stuck there late at night, as a woman with nowhere else to go. I paid a second time during the argument at midnight. The owner wouldn't give me a room, even though he was in contact with Akash. After I asked a hundred times, Akash still wouldn't give me the owner's number. Owner, please learn some manners and how to treat female guests. Don't waste your time or money here.

The room has windows placed so you can see other guests, which gives the whole thing a reality-show feel. The hotel calls it a view, I guess, and says you're under "watchful protection." They've also got a password system on the doors, supposedly using ancient Alibaba technology. Figuring out the code is part of the entertainment. The password is "koi dikhath nahi." Need a bucket? You have to go next door and get one yourself, part of their bucket exchange program. Who knew sharing could be such an adventure? Welcome to the hotel of the future, where innovation meets something else entirely. There's never a dull moment here, whether you're swapping buckets, cracking codes, or watching the other guests.

The room was in very poor condition, and the staff didn't know how to speak to guests. They accept bookings through @oyoroom, then ask for more money, sometimes double, when you arrive and refuse check-in at the @oyo rooms price. I hope action is taken seriously.
