The Roseate New Delhi

The room was huge, the grounds felt luxurious, and with all the greenery and water around it was hard to believe the Delhi Airport was so close. On arrival, our taxi was waiting, reception was helpful, and they even added the small room decoration we'd requested. Booking directly through the hotel's website was easy, and the messages from the hotel were smooth. Check-in and checkout were both quick. The weak point was the in-room dining. I called the restaurant three times with no answer, then reception said someone would go up and have them call me, but nobody got back to us. I finally managed to order on my fourth try. Breakfast was average: the food was decent, but we had to follow up three times about our tea, and the waiting staff seemed uninterested. It was a great stay in many ways, but the dining and waiting service needs to match the five-star expectation.

The place itself is beautiful and very well kept, and the staff are great. I only went in for coffee, but after I ordered a double-shot cappuccino, they brought me one with a single shot. They took it back and added a shot, then reheated the same coffee. Reheating changes the taste and profile, and using a steamer on coffee I'd already tasted felt unhygienic. I've never seen a place handle it that way. At a luxury property, they could have made a fresh one. I was in a hurry, so I didn't raise it then, though I did mention it to the polite, accommodating server before leaving. I liked the property, but I didn't enjoy the experience.

The Wi-Fi was slow now and then, and I wished the menu had more variety. Still, the food was decent, and getting to nearby markets and transport was convenient. My room was clean, roomy, and looked after well. Staff were polite and always willing to help, which made my stay comfortable. It's a good budget-friendly option, and I'd recommend it.

The spa treatments were rejuvenating, and the dining was a pleasure too, with tasty food, lovely presentation, calm surroundings, and good service. Staff were warm and attentive throughout. The Roseate Delhi has striking architecture set among lush greenery, giving it a relaxed, luxurious feel. It made for a refreshing, memorable staycation, and I'd recommend it for a peaceful break in Delhi.
