Dev Shree Relais and Châteaux Luxury Hotel Deogarh

We only wish we'd had more time at Dev Shree in Deogarh. The owners are gracious hosts, the service was great, and our room was spacious and charming. The hotel sits by a beautiful lake surrounded by nature, and they can arrange village walks, night safaris, and other tours.

There was nothing negative about our stay, and I wish we'd stayed longer. Between the stately property, lakeside setting full of exotic birds, and warm hosts, the whole atmosphere was lovely. The food was exceptional and the service was stellar. Activities included village walks, yoga, great massages, and nature safaris. We even saw leopards! I'd gladly return to India for another visit.

We loved the early yoga on the rooftop, watching the sun come up over the lake. The food was the best we had on our six weeks in India, and the place itself is beautiful. The welcoming, interesting family brought a calm, almost royal feel alongside the bustle and change of modern India. Thanks for such a wonderful few days.

The hosts and staff welcomed us into their home and lives, and that hospitality really touched us. Even though our visit was short, it became our most memorable stay. The peaceful setting and grand buildings, rooms, clean air, and carefully prepared and served food made a lasting impression. On the village Jeep Safari to the sunset point, we spotted birds, Bluebulls, and Jackals, and leopards too if you're lucky. The location is close to many tourist destinations in Rajasthan. We were also impressed to learn about the hosts' efforts to improve education in local schools and how guests can take part.
