Rashmi Cottage - A Boutique Homestay

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well cared for, and the staff were polite and always ready to help with a smile. I also enjoyed the delicious food, which felt like home cooking. Rashmi Cottage is set in a peaceful, scenic spot that made a lovely break from busy city life.

We arrived with friends and four young children after a power outage had already lasted more than 24 hours. Management had not told us about it, and we checked into complete darkness. We spent the first night by candlelight, with no lights or hot water for the kids. There was no generator or solar geyser, and management could not say when repairs would be finished, so we checked out the next day to find another place. That evening, after we had moved to a new hotel, they called asking us to shift back because the power had returned. Now they are using its eventual return to dispute our refund request with MMT. This felt like poor management and a lack of basic backup facilities. Keeping the outage from guests before arrival was dishonest. Avoid this property if traveling with family.

We booked the whole cottage for our group of five, and the porch became our favourite spot. Sitting there with chai and the view made it easy to let time slow down. The place had a warm, personal feeling, like being in a home full of memories. Vini wasn’t at the property, but she checked in often, coordinated things smoothly, and made sure we were comfortable. The staff and caretaker also made everything feel easy and homely. Food, hospitality, and the little touches all came together into a stay we’ll remember. We’d love to return and recommend it to others.

That BBQ night at Rashmi’s Cottage was such a good time with my friends. The food, setup, and vibe all felt just right. Chetan bhaiya took great care of us and kept everything comfortable and running smoothly. It’s a cozy place, and I’d come back.
