The terrace cafe is lively, with indoor and outdoor seating, games, books, bean bags, and more. The reception and cafe staff are humble and provide great hospitality. We booked a superior room with mountain view, and the views really are among the best. The walls are beautifully done, the rooms are clean, and the location is awesome. Just be prepared to walk down quite a few stairs to reach the hotel, since it’s not easy to spot from the main road. Definitely one of my favorite places to stay, 5/5. Highly recommended!

The books on the terrace are nice to browse on a rainy day while relaxing with that beautiful mountain view. The wall art from the entrance to reception is a treat, and the rooms have amazing views. Staff are cooperative, the food is good, and they take care of your needs. Mr. Javed is personally involved in managing the place, which helps keep things running well. Be ready for the stairs, both down to the hotel and back up. The bathrooms could be better, though the 24hr hot water supply is appreciated. My main complaint is the noise in the rooms when people move around on the terrace. The staff couldn’t do much because it was other guests, but it was really annoying. I’d still recommend it for a cozy homestay feel. Don’t judge by the outside; it’s different once you see inside. I wish I could take home one of those amazing art pieces. Keep up the standards and keep improving.

The open restaurant on the balcony has lovely views of the valley and mountains. The food is tasty and fairly priced, but service took too long. Getting to the property is difficult, with several flights of stairs to climb. The rooms are only okay, cleanliness could be better, and the fixtures are quite old.

Everyone working here was really helpful and polite. The rooftop restaurant is neat, with a see-through ceiling, and the food is delicious and very fairly priced. It takes a long time to reach the table, so order well ahead. The restaurant closes at 10.30pm, and they don’t offer tea or hot water after that. Expect lots of stairs, though that was absolutely OK for me. The rooms and bathrooms were pretty average, and hygiene needs work.

The lounge view is to die for, and I really enjoyed staying here. The staff were welcoming and cooperative, and went to great lengths to make us comfortable. Azgar, the manager, and Ishfatq, mansoor, mahindar, the rest of the staff, deserve thanks for their hospitality. We were welcomed with Kashmiri green tea made with saffron and cardamom. The quirky lounge decor was refreshing, and the hotel is close to Dalai Lama Temple, Namgyal Monastery, and the local markets. We included breakfast and dinner, and thought dinner was delicious. The food was cooked fresh to order, and I’d recommend trying their North Indian dishes. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, but the towels and sheets felt old and needed replacing. There’s no hotel parking of its own, though they have an arrangement to share space with another hotel. The biggest drawback is the very long flight of stairs to get there. That may be fine for a young person, but could be challenging for an elderly guest.
