Hotel Pawan Regency

From the super deluxe room, the views are breathtaking, and the staff were attentive and genuinely helpful. Mr. Omprakash deserves a special mention for going out of his way to handle our requests. The room had good facilities, including dependable hot water and heaters, and the food was tasty and satisfying. We weren't sure how consistently the breakfast buffet was available, so it's worth checking ahead. Getting there takes some effort: although it's only 0.5 km from McLeodganj’s main chowk, the hotel sits at the end of a very narrow, steep uphill road. Larger vehicles may have trouble, and the climb can be hard for older guests or anyone carrying heavy luggage. A very good stay if you're prepared for the access.

The room service food was delicious. The staff were so kind that when our taxi didn't turn up at 5AM for us to catch a bus, they let us check back in. Excellent hotel.

The room and bathroom were clean and good, and our super premium room had a balcony with a really nice view. We tried the aaloo poori and lemon honey pancake. The pancake was good, but the poori bhaji was very oily. The hotel is tucked into an ally and a bit far from the main square, so expect quite a lot of walking.

The food was freshly cooked and good, and the rooms were clean. We had a great experience at pawan regency. Omprakash, the manager, was friendly and very helpful, and the staff were cooperative too.
