Hill Heaven

We were left stranded in Kodaikanal during peak holiday season, when rooms were unavailable, even though I had a confirmed Goibibo booking and had paid ₹2000 in advance. I arrived in the evening with my wife and 5-year-old child, showed the online confirmation, and the owner still flatly refused to honor the booking. The owner was rude and unprofessional throughout. Staff then wanted another ₹500 commission just to give us details of nearby hotels. After paying it, I had to take a small room with no amenities at an inflated price. It was a deeply frustrating experience and felt like pure harassment. Never booking here again, and I strongly advise others not to trust this hotel.

The food was tasty and delivered to our door, though room service makes it a little more costly than eating outside. The owner was polite and provided room service, and our room was clean, so we really enjoyed the stay. Parking on the property fits only 2 cars, but there is plenty of space across the road. Bear Shola falls is within walking distance, though it is closed for now.

Right in the centre of town, this is a convenient place to stay and get to the various sightseeing spots. They have free wifi, power backup, 24-hour hot water, and good Vegetarian food.

The food was the highlight for our family, cooked in the cottage by the caretaker and served on time. It tasted like home food, and they were very cordial. We were 15 family members visiting Hill Heaven Home stay on 27th dec 2024 for 2 nights. The cottage was decent, with 4 bedrooms, and we enjoyed the stay.
