Pattiah Naidu Palace

The location made visiting the temples easy, just a few metres from both Thiru Aavinnankudi temple and Palani malai adivaram. We stayed in family rooms 101, 103, and 104 on the ground floor. They were extremely spacious for four adults and one or two children. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms were spotless, and the staff were supportive and cooperative.

I lost the advance I paid after refusing a room that didn't match what we'd discussed. I'd booked ahead for four family members and clearly asked for enough beds and space. At check-in, they offered one single bed and said one person could sleep there while the rest slept on the floor. No one had told us this before. The room was tiny, like a local lodge, and didn't seem worth the price. Communication was poor and misleading, and the woman at reception behaved unprofessionally. We were travelling as a family and would have booked elsewhere if we'd known; for the same money, we've stayed in better places with proper parking. I expect management may reply with misleading claims, but this is what happened to me. Please read reviews carefully and check the room size and number of beds in person before paying an advance. Don't book ahead without seeing the room. I wouldn't want others to lose their money the way I did.

This is a very neat place near the adivaram temple, with small shops and eateries along the front. We came as a small family for a short stay, and the room was tidy. It's not a luxury hotel, so keep your expectations in line with that. Parking is behind the hotel, and it's worth checking with them first to see if there's space. We didn't ask and had to find it through Google Maps after a few turns. A random auto rickshaw driver told us there was no parking nearby and we'd have to park by the temple, but the space behind the hotel looked big enough for six or seven cars, maybe more.

The main Temple entrance and several other temples are within walking distance, with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Staff were polite and helpful. This is a decent option near the main Palani temple, with rooms at different price points that are okay for what you pay. The photos don't quite match the actual hotel. It has a traditional feel when you walk in, while the rooms themselves are pretty ordinary.
