Vivera Grande

The room standards were disappointing for the price. There was no bathroom mat, the towels were stained and old, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and the toiletries were insufficient. The bed linen and quilt looked worn and discoloured. The refrigerator and television needed attention too, so we had to call reception several times about basic supplies and room upkeep. The trouble started before we arrived. I had booked Vivera Grand Hotel, Dindigul well ahead through Agoda for my wife, child, and me. While returning from Vagamon, I called to say we’d get there late, around 9 PM. The hotel told me the reservation had already been cancelled because we hadn’t checked in by 4 PM. Neither Agoda nor the hotel had called, messaged, emailed, or sent a notification, and the Agoda app still showed the booking as confirmed. That left us stressed and trying to find somewhere to stay on the road with our family. I had to book again through another platform, at a higher price than my original Agoda rate. Management also never properly explained or took responsibility for the booking mix-up. One staff member did apologize, but there was no proper apology from management despite the disruption. After a long journey, we were exhausted and had expected a comfortable stay. Instead, we dealt with poor communication, extra stress, and below average rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for families travelling with children. The service and room quality didn’t match the price.

Our family had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and breakfast in the morning was delicious. We booked two rooms for the night of January 16. I’ve saved this hotel as a stop for future travels and would recommend giving it a try.

We got a suite at a reasonable price, and the quality was quite good. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and well cared for. Service impressed us too, the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, and the kids really enjoyed the food. It’s easy to get to. Underground parking is limited, though there’s open parking next to the hotel.

We left completely unsatisfied. The room wasn’t properly maintained, the bathroom had broken pipes, and there was even a bat inside it. Food quality was poor, especially breakfast, and the service was bad throughout. It was not worth what we paid. We’ve never had such a disappointing stay before. I honestly wonder whether the ratings are fake or simply don’t reflect the place. We wouldn’t recommend it.
