Ginger Dwarka

The staff were polite, responsive, and helpful, and being about 5 km outside the city suited me since I don’t like traffic noise. The room, though, was dirty: gutka stains on the floor, broken furniture, used soap in the bathroom, hair stuck to the walls, and water marks on the taps. I asked them to clean the table, but the stain was still there afterward. At 12:30 a.m. I could hear someone snoring in the next room, so the soundproofing was poor. They provided soap instead of shower gel. The TV was a basic LG set with Tata Sky, not an Android TV, so bring a Fire Stick if that matters to you. I’ve stayed at many IHCL properties, and this was the worst so far.

That connecting family room made the trip so easy for us. We loved the calm setting, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, with lovely views. The staff were always polite and ready to help, which made us feel welcome. We didn’t choose a meal plan, so I can’t comment on the food. For a comfortable family stay, though, this was perfect and felt like good value. I’d happily recommend it, especially if you get the interconnected rooms.

Getting around was easy with help from reception. The young man and woman on duty arranged a taxi for Dwarkadish Temple and nearby pilgrimage spots, including Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Rukminidevi Temple, Shivrajpur Beach, Gomti Ghat, and several smaller temples. Even with the President visiting and the city busy, the team made the day go smoothly. They also found us an auto at 3:30 AM for the railway station, so we could catch the 4 AM Vande Bharat Express. We stayed at Ginger Hotel, Porbandar Highway, during a two-day family trip to Dwarka. We arrived by train around midnight, and the hotel had called ahead to confirm our booking and help with check-in. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with working air-conditioning and the amenities neatly arranged. The hotel is right on the national highway, away from the city noise, and felt peaceful and safe. There’s open space in front where I enjoyed a quiet morning walk. Breakfast was satisfying, and dinner was freshly made and delicious. The restaurant staff, especially the girl who served us, were courteous and attentive. I booked online trusting the Ginger name, and the stay exceeded what I expected. The hospitality, cleanliness, and service made a strong impression on us.

The staff were supportive and handled our request for ten extra minutes after checkout professionally, resolving it quickly. I appreciated the response and would consider coming back. The stay was very good, but the buffet breakfast and food quality weren’t up to the mark. They should revisit the breakfast.
