Collection O 82596 Safe Hotel Kadavanthra

The online price didn't match what I was actually charged, which was frustrating for an already overpriced stay. Hygiene was below standard, and the customer service was notably poor. The combination made the experience a regret.

The room looked worse and much lower class than the picture. That's how they get these reviews: the reception staff ask for your phone and tell you to open the OYO app, then the guy at reception leaves a five-star review himself, saying it's for getting good offers. Like we're dumb enough not to notice.

The location is right on the main road, so it's noisy, but getting to Kadavanthara metro station is easy. I left the very next morning and moved to another hotel. My check-in was delayed by 40 minutes, even though I had booked five days earlier and paid in full. When I asked what was going on, I was told rooms were handled first come, first served. I had to keep clarifying before I finally got the keys. The hallways were gloomy, with broken walls and a bad smell. My room had no windows, poor ventilation, and smelled dusty. The toilet leaked when flushed and had no exhaust fan. On the first day, a short circuit knocked out the lights and fan. The staff were unprofessional. It was the worst room I've ever booked.

The receptionist rejected my OYO booking, demanded extra money if I wanted to stay, and lost the money I'd already booked through OYO. I found him completely unhelpful and unresponsive when I raised the issue. I also had to file a formal police complaint against him to feel safe. This was an absolute nightmare, especially for women traveling alone or arriving late at night. The situation felt dangerous, and the staff showed no respect for women's safety. Stay away from this cockroach house and find somewhere else. It's not worth risking your safety for a cheap stay.
