Hotel Palmyra Grand Inn

The room I got didn’t match the website and Agoda photos I booked from. The sheets and pillowcases had dirt and blood stains, and the room seemed completely unmaintained. I told reception and asked them to replace the bedding. They said they would, but nothing was done. The service was very poor.

We couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep because bed bugs kept returning, even after we repeatedly removed the sheets and cleaned the bed. There was also a musty smell throughout the hotel, and the room looked nothing like the photos and was below average. We were two girls traveling, and reception called my personal phone twice during the night, including at 1 a.m. I was scared and concerned about our safety. When we asked the next day, they said they were confirming check-in. At 1 a.m.? It was a terrible stay. The photos are misleading, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The building smelled bad throughout and looked old and poorly cared for. There were cracks in the ceiling and walls, and the room didn’t look like the pictures. No towels or floor mat were provided. The toilet was in terrible condition, the sheets were dirty and unhygienic, and room service hadn’t done a proper job. A bad stay.

We left and found another hotel for the same price, even though we had already paid in full. The place was awful: peeling walls, cracked ceilings, broken bathrooms, and cockroaches and other insects flying around. There was no restaurant either. Our agent had booked it without checking properly. I’d never book here again. It was a horror story, and I’m sure the hotel will have some lame defensive reply.
