OYO Flagship 73858 Saligram Residency

The photos and the property were completely different. The rooms were below average, and the washroom was in very bad shape. It felt like a very local lodge.

The location is handy, with good restaurants nearby, but the gutters on both sides of the lodge bring in a lot of mosquitoes. The corner rooms on each floor also get cigarette smoke when people use the passage by the road. Some days the cleaning staff forget to clean the rooms. For a budget hotel I didn't expect much, but apart from hot water and air conditioning, there's nothing else available.

Good rooms and a calm atmosphere, you could choose this 🤍

We arrived from the train station at midnight, after agreeing on our arrival time and getting confirmation for the room. The staff immediately said “no foreigners” and refused to let us stay because we didn't have the paperwork they said foreign visitors needed. Other hotels in the area told us that paperwork wasn't necessary. They turned us away in the middle of the night, didn't apologize or help us find another place, and we had to knock on hotel doors looking for somewhere to sleep. It left us in a frightening and potentially dangerous situation. I wouldn't stay here, especially if you're a tourist.
