The Woods Manor MG Road

The restaurant view is the most appealing thing about this place. The hotel is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the restaurant entrance is unique. I ate at 'Leaves'; the food was good and definitely worth the money, but the service was lackluster and disappointing at best. Skip the biryani and you’ll enjoy the place. I’d recommend it for a hearty lunch or dinner.

I attended a 2 day Govt training programme there. The location is easy to reach, though adding a metro pillar number would make it more convenient. Underground parking is available, but it can’t take more than 8 cars at once. The first day’s hall wasn’t properly maintained and felt low class, even the table mats. The drinking glasses weren’t standard either. The buffet lunch that day was nice. On day 2, we got a better hall with neat interiors and enough space, but the lunch wasn’t so good. Staff treatment was friendly and nice overall. I’d give it 3.5 or 3 out of 5.

The restaurant is good, and the hotel's location is handy for both travelers and people around the city. Woods Manor Hotel also has clean rooms with an authentic style. I found the staff honest firsthand: after I left a personal ornament worth a lakh rupees in my room, they returned it after checkout. The service was excellent.

The bedsheets had stains, though the rooms themselves were okay. You also have to hang a “please clean my room” tag on the door or they won't clean it, and there's no complimentary mineral water. At the restaurant, I waited 20 minutes without being served water, and the person taking orders was very discourteous. Staff had a very casual attitude in general. At 3k a night, you have to put up with all this.
