Gajraj Hotel

The bed setup was a real problem for our family of two adults and a child. We’d booked a double bed, but got two separate mattresses pushed together with an uncomfortable gap, leaving someone practically sleeping in the partition. We asked to change rooms, but there was no alternative that day. The next day they showed us a room on the 3rd floor, and it had the same damp smell. We reached at about 4 PM on 20th May 2026, well past check-in time, with our EaseMyTrip booking already confirmed, but still waited nearly 30 minutes for Room No. 207. The lobby was poorly kept, with bags of rice and other supplies on the sofa instead of proper seating. We only got the room after raising the issue repeatedly. Although it looked recently cleaned, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The linen seemed unclean, there was a constant damp odor, and the bathroom floor was wet and dirty. Its bathtub barely fit properly and had black marks that looked like burns. There was no window or ventilation. Late at night, staff were smoking in their room and the smell filled ours, making the poor ventilation obvious. Hot water was available only at certain times, and staff controlled the heater switch from outside. They turned it on when asked, but the plug was very close to the shower and didn’t fit properly, so it felt unsafe and we avoided using it. Overall, a disappointing and uncomfortable stay.
