Galaxy Luxuria

We were there for two nights after an associate from Darjeeling recommended the property. The spacious room had the amenities we needed, and there is a lift. Two things could use attention: the cupboards in both the room and bathroom weren't cleaned properly, and guests should be able to request an iron and ironing board. Since laundry is available at or near the hotel, that would be useful for clothes packed in bags.

The rooftop restaurant and bar was a highlight, with some of the tastiest food I've had in Sikkim. The staff at Galaxy luxuria were welcoming and went out of their way to help, including answering questions and suggesting things to see nearby. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with the amenities I needed and a very comfortable bed. A wonderful stay. I can't wait to visit again, thank you!

I came for a corporate trip after a friend recommended the hotel. My list of requirements was long and complicated, but the hotel met them all accurately. The trip went very well. Even after a stressful workday, I didn't run into the flaws I'd seen mentioned in critical reviews. Room service arrived on time, staff were great, and they told me about any issues beforehand, which I understood. I'm very satisfied and will stay here again on my next trip. The security staff were humble and helpful, taking on different tasks. I run a security company myself, and hadn't expected security to be such a helping hand until I experienced it at Galaxy Luxuria.

For a short stay, this is a good property. We stayed a couple of days in mid May 2023. It's fairly new and well maintained, though the rooms are small and none has a balcony, which was a letdown. At this price and hotel category, I expected basic items like mineral water, a toothbrush kit, and room sandals to be included. Charging extra for these didn't feel worthwhile.
