It's just a few minutes from MG Market, and the host is welcoming and helpful. The property is inexpensive, clean, and well maintained, with a friendly feel like an extended family of travelers. The staircase up to it is a little steep, so take care, especially in the rain. The entrance is beside a public toilet, so there can be unpleasant smells. Kitchen and washing facilities are limited, though the market area has plenty. Recommended overall.

The place is compact and clean, and the host family is what makes it especially nice. They're cheerful and kind, and their little one is adorable. Breakfast was tasty and clean too. It's good value, with ATMs, food places, and tour agencies all within walking distance.

We were four people and had a peaceful, relaxing stay at this hostel right on MG Marg in the city center. It's one of the best backpacker hostels I've stayed at. The host couple were kind and understanding, and their smart, enthusiastic little daughter was fun to be around. I'd recommend it to backpackers.

MG Marg is a prominent street, and from here restaurants, banks, ATMs, and the market are all easy to reach. This is a decent, affordable choice for solo travelers or small backpacking groups of two or three. The owner is warm and hospitable, and her daughter Norzom is as sweet as any child in Sikkim and sure to impress you. A good-value option if you're visiting Gangtok.

The owner is genuinely friendly and helpful. Getting to the hostel means walking up dirty, smelly stairs, though, and the bathroom isn't a regular one. It's a squat toilet, as you find in some places in Asia.
