Hotel Little Gangtok

The entrance was hard to find, and you have to climb stairs to reach it, so it isn't wheelchair accessible. We stayed with friends during a wonderful visit to sikkim, booking online. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. MG market is nearby, about a 10-minute walk. Breakfast came with our package, and it was tasty and served hot. Heaters were provided in the rooms, which we needed in the cold winter. Staff speak both English and Hindi. We enjoyed our stay.

The service was good, and the location is very imaging.

The staff were polite and decent, but the room was very damp. We had to run the AC in winter to dehumidify it. There isn't a way to control the water temperature: turn on the geyser and you have to wash with boiling water. The stairs were very narrow, and there was no network inside, so we had to speak from outside. The Wi-Fi was really slow too.

The highlight was the Himalayan ranges right outside our window, and the apartment stay with my cousins was incredibly comfortable. Little Gantok is listed on Airbnb and has hotel rooms plus two apartments, a luxury one on the top floor and a deluxe one below. The host was incredibly kind and helpful despite not being there in person. She guided us from the nearest car stop, helped with our luggage, and offered a reasonably priced room upgrade when we said we wanted two rooms. Avinash provided fantastic service. The room was clean on arrival and had what we needed, including a TV, sofa set, luxurious dining area, and fully equipped modular kitchen. The two deluxe bedrooms and bathrooms, including a bathtub, were spotless. There was also a small static cycling area and another sofa-cum-bed. The host made sure we had everything, from room heaters to AC, so we had no complaints. Breakfast wasn't included, but that wasn't a problem with a whole apartment to ourselves where we could cook. Swiggy was easy to access at the property, and the hotel had Wi-Fi and Jio 5G connectivity. I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend Little Gantok for a comfortable, affordable place in the area. The host and place were hard to beat at that price.
