The setting is in the heart of Gangtok, but Sikkim’s roads are mountainous and uneven, so walking from the property may be hard for regular travelers. Adventurous people might enjoy it. There’s a travel desk on site to help with travel around Sikkim. I stayed three nights in the last week of May 2022, and it was very comfortable. The hosts are warm, professional, and passionate about looking after guests. The premises are clean, and the spacious rooms are well decorated and well ventilated. Each has a large king or queen bed as well as a separate single bed. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available, and the food is beyond delicious, it reminded me of my mom’s cooking. The hosts make a point of checking in with guests to make sure they’re comfortable each day, and the staff do everything they can to make the stay memorable. I’ve travelled often for 15 years, and Kashyap Kunj is among my best experiences in every way. All the best, and I hope to see you again soon!

We were eight people, and everyone in the group was impressed with our warm, memorable stay at Kashyap Kunj. The owner, Ms. Reshma, made us feel at home with her hospitality. The staff were courteous and helpful, and they let us use the kitchen to prepare food for the kids, which we really appreciated. The food they served was home style with local flavours. The property is beautifully designed, with a different colour for each spacious room, including the washroom. The living and dining areas are just as lovely. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Gangtok.

The owners were kind and easy to talk to, and the rooms were spacious and cosy. There was an extra bed for the children. They always took our food preferences into account and served meals fresh and warm. If you want a clean, purely vegetarian homestay in Sikkim, this is a great option.

The hosts treated us like family, and the homestay staff were very polite. The home style food was excellent and freshly prepared each time. Rooms were spacious, very clean, and neat. My family liked it so much that although we booked one day, we extended for the remaining four days of our Gangtok trip. It’s in a quiet area with panoramic hill views from the window, about 10 to 15 minutes from the city. One of my best family stays in Gangtok, and I’d definitely recommend it.

A relaxing, comfortable place to stay, especially for a large group. The owners and staff were courteous, sweet, and truly hospitable. The food was delicious and comforting, and the place itself had a peaceful, almost temple-like feel.
