Summit Golden Crescent Resort & Spa

The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, with a nice view. That was the best part of my stay. The facilities and service had several problems, though. The bathtub couldn't be used because there was no stopper and no water came from its tap. The snooker table had no balls or cues, and the lift wasn't working, which was especially inconvenient for families or older guests. On both mornings, the taps only gave extremely hot water, with no cold supply. Breakfast choices were limited, and dinner was average in both taste and variety. The receptionist seemed unfamiliar with basic information, and staff were only just okay in terms of cooperation, with little helpfulness or initiative. The rooms were good, but the services need work and staff need better training to understand guests' needs.

The dining room made me uncomfortable: staff kept watching guests and were overly strict about ordinary food choices. Take a boiled egg, for instance, and they would remind you not to ask for an omelet, as though you weren't a paying guest. A community kitchen might have shown more hospitality. The receptionist was rude and indifferent to concerns, and my room was switched at the last minute without warning. This hotel fell far short of what it claims to be. I was extremely disappointed. Don't be taken in by misleading paid positive reviews. Save your money and look elsewhere.

The staff were helpful, the service was good, and the property was clean. We stayed for three days. For the first two, we had a well-maintained standard room, and they also provided an extra bed for the kids. On the last day we moved to a premium room. It was a good size, but could have used a little more maintenance, just one or two things. The food was good too.

The hotel-arranged cab and drivers were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I also found the room luxurious, clean, and well maintained, with a magnificent view. Serena and the rest of the staff were especially attentive and did a lot to make me comfortable. The amenities, meals, and scenery were excellent. I'd happily return to golden crescent resort and spa, and recommend it for a relaxing vacation.
