The Red Mud Chalet

The huge lawn at Red Mud Chalet, Hee Bermiok was a lovely place to sit, breathe the fresh air, and take in the scenery. It's so peaceful, with no crowd or noise, just nature around you. From our clean, spacious, well-kept room, we could see Kanchenjunga, even while lying in bed. The staff were kind, polite, cooperative, and always willing to help. Meals felt warm and homemade, and the evening snacks made relaxing there even nicer. The resort is near Chayatal, Poison Lake, Rinchenpong Monastery, British Dak Bungalow, Changey Waterfalls, and Azing's Fruit Farm. Our stay was amazing, and I'd give it 5/5. It's a wonderful offbeat nature stay in West Sikkim, and I highly recommend it to families, solo travelers, or anyone wanting a break from city life.

The rooms and location are very good, but service is very bad. Food quality was so-so, and both the choice and quantity were very poor. The incharge behaved terribly and wasn't helpful at all. The owner has leased the property, and there are far too few staff.

The atmosphere is pleasant, the location is great, and the resort itself is beautiful. Service, food, and rooms were all great. Spending two or three days here was a mesmerizing experience.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the view was wonderful. We did have some power issues, which left the rooms dimly lit, but overall staying at the Red Mud Chalet was pleasant.
