Udaan Woodberry Hotel And Spa in Upper Burtuk is about 4 km from the bustle of MG Road, and the quieter location gave the place a positive, happy atmosphere. It’s a good choice if you want to relax away from the city noise and don’t mind being a short drive out. The facilities met expectations and contributed to a very good stay. The rooms were spacious, well maintained, neat, and clean, as were the general hotel premises. The staff were the standout, consistently kind and helpful, from the warm welcome through the fantastic service during our stay. One issue was that the lift was under maintenance, which made reaching the 2nd-floor rooms difficult. That could be a real hurdle for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The service and feel-good atmosphere made up for the distance for us, but check the lift status if stairs are a concern. Highly recommended for service, comfort, and vegetarian people.

The staff are the reason you can overlook any shortcomings here. Everyone’s smiling and ready to sort out what you need. Ms Dawphutit went to great lengths to make us comfortable and help with every situation. Pradhan and Suk were great at the front desk too. After a long, tiring day, restaurant staff Sangam, Priya, and Renuka made us feel welcome and went out of their way to serve us. Chefs Akash, Rajesh, and Raj turned out delicious food that didn’t disappoint. When we arrived or left, bell boy prem was there with a smile. You can’t go wrong choosing this hotel. Kudos to management for building such a team.

The food and service were the worst part of our stay. Service was slow, portions weren’t right, and even ordinary items like idly took 30-40 mins. There wasn’t enough seating for the number of rooms, and breakfast was poor, with few proper options and bad service. We chose it because it has a pure vegetarian restaurant, but were disappointed. The rooms are all much the same, with a sofa being about the only difference between standard and premium. The ratings I’d give are location **, atmosphere **, rooms ***, value **, cleanliness ***, noise level ***, room service **, restaurant **, complimentary breakfast *, and amenities **. This is somewhere to stay for a few hours and move on, not a good place for a family stay. It’s around 4-5km from the market area, the roads are blackout after 7pm, and finding return transport to the hotel isn’t easy.

The welcome here really stands out, and the hospitality is amazing. The food is delicious, and don’t miss the breakfast buffet. My kid loved the Chinese platter, and the kids’ play area is well maintained. The kids loved the foosball too.
