As a woman travelling alone, I booked a dormitory bed and felt safe, peaceful, and clean there. It was so quiet that it felt like I was the only person on earth, though people were only a call away. I wanted some calm time by myself and found it here. From the hilltop you can see the ocean and the layers of misty Western Ghats, and hear the waves from the cottages. But if you want to play on the beach, this isn’t the place, since you’re up on the hill and can only look down at the beach and ocean. I’d definitely come back if I get the chance.

At MG Cottage and Dormitory in Gokarna, the beach view made the mornings and sunsets feel special. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and affordable, and the owner was friendly and ready to help. It’s a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy Gokarna’s peaceful atmosphere. I had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a scenic place near the beach.

We got there early, and they let us leave our bags and freshen up without charging extra, which was a real help. They gave us a new room, Room No. 5, with a remarkable direct view of the beach from the hilltop. The room was spotless and well kept. Such a memorable stay, and the beach view was awesome.
