The hotel sits on a steep hill, and there’s little proper lighting on the way up at night, so keep that in mind if you stay here. Our booking through OYO Rooms was for a low rate. On arrival, the owner said, “OYO are cheaters,” questioned how much I was willing to pay, and said the price was too low. I called OYO, and they reached an agreement with the owner so we could stay at the booked rate. The first night and most of the next day were fine. That evening, a worker said the owner wanted us to move because the other room had a 24 hour geyser. We agreed, but the new room was much smaller, had dirty walls, and smelled strongly of sewage from the bathroom. If the bathroom door was open for even a few seconds, the smell spread through the room. I found the way the disagreement between OYO and the owner was handled unprofessional. I felt the room change may have been a way to hassle us for paying less than the hotel’s usual rate. If the owner had an issue with OYO, customers should have been told ahead of time so they could arrange somewhere else to stay.

The food was good, but the place is still being built and our stay wasn’t great. Hot water was unreliable, and the room smelled of fresh paint. I’d wait another year for the construction to be finished. For now, I’d look for a beach hut, or bring a tent and skip the buildings.

The building is still under construction, there’s no in-house restaurant as advertised, and we saw rats in the room. There was no drinking water or hot water, no curtains, no DTH connection, and the WiFi was very slow. We also weren’t given extra towels or soap. The staff weren’t cooperative, and the manager was rude and arrogant. There’s no lighting nearby to help you find the hotel at night. It deserves negative marks.

We liked the food, and the manager and staff were friendly. The hotel is newly built, though some work is still going on. Both the AC and non-AC rooms were nice, and one had a lovely view across the whole valley. Getting an auto or other transport on demand is the main drawback, although the manager can arrange an auto. The road from the city is a little steep but manageable. We stayed from 19-20 Oct, and I’ve attached the view from our room.

We booked a room for 8 people at the last minute. It was clean, the receptionist was amazing, and service was good. Food prices were reasonable. The meal was really tasty one day and just okay the next. It’s about 3 to 4 kms from Kudle Beach and a bit farther from Om Beach. The hotel was under construction while we were there. Try negotiating if you want to save a little.
