Goroomgo Pradeep Palace Gorakhpur

I only stayed because I urgently needed a room in Gorakhpur for a day and had already paid. The OYO is in a society basement, with cramped rooms and an entrance barely half a foot wide. Getting into the bathroom is even harder. The fans and ACs were noisy, and they shut off the AC during the day, despite the poor ventilation in the basement. There were snails and insects in the bathroom, and seepage on the walls. It felt unsafe: in a fire or other emergency, getting out through those narrow entrances would be difficult. I can't understand why this OYO property has a 4 star rating. It deserves zero.

Getting checked in was easy, and I was given a reasonably sized room. The staff were efficient and kept the place well managed. Public transport connections were good, too. I had a great stay.

I didn't realize when booking online that the place was in a basement. The room looked good, but the bathroom smelled constantly, and the manager controlled the AC and geyser. Breakfast was poor, especially the tea. There seemed to be just one person handling everything, from reception and food to cleaning, and the rate was very high.

It's a decent place to stay in gorakhpur at a reasonable price, near AD Mall. The location can be a little hard to find at first, but I had a good stay, and the staff were helpful.
