Hotel Discovery by OYO Rooms

A few things to know before booking: there's no TV in the rooms, and service is effectively nonexistent. The geyser in the bathroom was disconnected from both the water and electricity. The bed linen smelled, and the rooms were dusty and unpleasant, with spider webs. Some furniture was broken, and they wouldn't give us room keys, leaving belongings exposed for anyone to take.

There isn't a restaurant, but food delivery through Swiggy or Zomato is quick, and good food shops are nearby. The beds are comfortable, though the towels were old and badly worn. Rooms have a fan, TV, AC, geyser, enough lights and plug points, and staff are usually around to help. Management and staff are good. The area is quiet, with little dust or traffic noise, a mall within walking distance, and homes nearby without being too close. It almost feels like home.

I arrived around midnight for a one-night stay booked through OYO assistance, but the hotel said they had no reservation, even after I showed the confirmation email. The room was about 1100, but I had used OYO coupons and discounts to book it for ₹396. Staff then asked for another ₹700. OYO customer care couldn't help because the manager wasn't answering their calls. Eventually they agreed to ₹300 extra. At midnight I had no real choice, and the only person there to deal with me was a cleaner, with no receptionist or manager available. I'd give it one star. Get the hotel to confirm your booking by email, or have your booking agent speak with staff before you book.

The staff service was very good, and the room was large and clean. If you're in Greater Noida with friends or family and need a guest house for a few hours or a few days, this is a good option.
