OYO 69992 Sri Sowmya Grand

I arrived around midnight after my train was delayed, with my wife and our 3-year-old child. I'd booked a room for the night through goibibio, but the hotel staff said they weren't on the online booking app and had no rooms because they were full. When I asked for my money back, they told me to contact the app and sort it out, and said I should go anywhere in the middle of the night and come back in the morning. After an hour of arguing, they gave us a room, but it was dirty and had used bedsheets. The staff were very rude. Don't book this hotel at any cost. Rest in peace goibibio for keeping it on your app.

🛑🛑 Unsafe for couples 🛑🛑 This hotel isn't safe for couples or families. They make a scene with the local police and then ask for more money as a trap. This happened to me on 27/10/2022 at 12:30 AM. I'd booked a non AC room for two people at 800 per day. In the middle of the night, hotel staff arrived with local police and knocked on the door. We were shocked and frightened. The police asked who the woman with me was and why we were staying together, along with a lot of vulgar questions in the local language. Then the police and hotel staff left. We were afraid, so we checked out at 5 AM. A hotel room boy, a thin white man, asked us for another 500 rupees. When we asked why, they said they'd paid a 500 fine to the police because of us. They blackmailed us, and we paid him before getting away from the hotel. 🥺 You should update this. 🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑 The Constitution of India or any other statute does not restrict unmarried couples from sitting in a public place. Section 294 of the IPC says an “obscene act” in a public place can be punished with three months' imprisonment, but cops often misuse this law.

Check the OYO price before paying, and look over the room and everything in it first. The room is compact. I wouldn't order food here, it has a homemade taste and isn't worth the money.

The AC worked well, but I can't think of anything else worth mentioning. I was taken in by some positive reviews, and the hotel was a disappointment. The linen wasn't changed, even when it was extremely dirty.
