Guruvayoor Resorts

After checkout, expensive personal belongings went missing. When contacted, the management gave different accounts, then eventually said the items had been thrown away within 2 days of checkout. The staff were rude and irresponsible. It was a really disappointing experience, and that kind of service is appalling and unprofessional. Be careful and think twice before booking Guruvayur Resort. Not recommended.

After we checked out on 25th January 2026, we realized that two expensive dresses had been left in the room. At first, the resort told us they were found and safe. By that afternoon, they said the dresses weren’t there. For the next 3-5 days, they didn’t answer our calls. When they eventually replied, they first said some dresses were there, then changed their story again and said nothing had been found. In the end, they claimed the room had been cleaned and the dresses thrown into the waste. This was a stressful, disappointing experience at the Guruvayoor resort near the railway station. The management were rude and irresponsible, especially Mr. Vijayan. If they can’t be honest about forgotten clothes, I worry about the safety of gold, cash, or other valuables left in a room. This behaviour is unacceptable and unprofessional. Please think twice before booking.

The room was good, the service was nice, and the resort is budget friendly. There’s no restaurant, though, and the access road is narrow. Vehicles larger than 4 wheels can’t reach the hotel, but a 6-wheel T. T. did get there.

The owners were rude, and mosquitoes kept biting us 24/7. The rooms smelled like sewage, and they told us the price was 1500, then it ended up being 3000.
