Hotel Samudra Theeram by OYO Rooms

Had a great stay. The room was clean and spacious.

The room looked nice, but it smelled bad, and the AC and hot water weren't working properly. For 2500, that's a rough deal, especially when I was there with children. The service people were rude and seemed money minded. Don't rely on Google reviews and end up spoiling your vacation.

We got around mostly by bus to reach the temples, beach, Light House, and Elephant Camp, since the hotel is very close to Chavakad Bus Stand. The rooms were spacious and the staff polite. Their 24 hour checkout meant we saved a day's rent.

We had some tasty, typical Kerala fish biriyani at their Samudra restaurant. The rooms looked just like the photos, the staff were polite and cooperative, and there was plenty of parking. It's right opposite the bus stand, too.
