Hotel Prag Continental

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Having a restaurant on the first floor was handy, and room service was available too. A pleasant stay, especially if you want decent food and service in one place.

We had a very unpleasant stay last week. When my wife asked to change rooms, the general manager was rude and dismissive, and seemed more focused on arguing than sorting it out. Our concerns were ignored, and the service was poor. I expected basic respect and service from someone in a leadership role, but the GM's conduct was a major letdown. The hotel needs to work on customer service. Very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Bugs were everywhere in the suite I was given, so I called reception. They offered a junior suite, but I had paid for a suite and didn't want to downgrade. The next suite had the same insects. They then moved me to the president suite, where the AC didn't work, the bathroom door was locked, and there were bugs again. When I dimmed the lights and used my phone, insects fell onto my face. I had arrived at night and only noticed the first bugs after freshening up and going to bed. I can't remember the original room number, maybe 601 or 602. It was a terrible experience, and I told reception at checkout I'd leave a review.

The food was good, and breakfast had a decent selection served fresh. Staff were courteous and service was good. It's an old hotel, though it's managed well. My suite had the bed and living area together, when they ideally should be separate, and the AC remote was missing. It did have a kettle, fridge, Android TV, Dish, table, and sofa. The Brahmaputra view point and ferry are nearby, with the ferry @100.
