Mayfair Spring Valley Guwahati

I was there with my husband, and we had a great stay. The hilltop rooms looked out over greenery, with birds singing, and were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and Wi-Fi and mobile reception were good. It’s a grand, lively, luxurious hotel, and the restaurant had a good variety of food. We also had a great deep tissue massage at the spa. Staff across reception, room service, the restaurant, and security were polite, helpful, and eager to serve. I felt the stay was worth the price.

The rooms, decor, and overall setup were outstanding, in keeping with the other Mayfair properties. I was there for a destination wedding, though, and the experience was very poor. The staff were polite, but the service simply didn’t come through. We repeatedly encountered cold food, orders that weren’t carried out, and staff who seemed unsure what was happening. The food was disappointing too. I’m a Mayfair fan and hope they take note and make improvements.

The resort was nicely decorated, with green lights glowing around the property. It’s a wonderful place for dining, weddings, or meetings, and there’s an electric vehicle to take you up the hill. Staff were eco-friendly, and food and lodging were available, along with everything else.

The villas each have a distinct lobby design with a lovely Indian look, and the lush greenery made the resort feel peaceful. It’s a beautiful place for some relaxing time to yourself, though a little way from central Guwahati. The staff were genuinely well-mannered. Anusree at reception was especially calm and gentle, and handled things with a warm smile. Protyusa, a trainee, showed us around effortlessly in both Hindi and English. Her confidence and professionalism made me think she was a full-time staff member. I left feeling refreshed after a wonderful stay.
