OYO 14431 Sai Nivas

I was in Guwahati on my first business trip there, and the nine days became one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The room, the city and its people, and the management of ROODRAKSH MALL, where our store opened, all added to it. I spent nine nights in a room that never felt safe after dark. I had a constant uneasy feeling and can’t explain why, but there was a lot of disturbance from the hotel. At night I felt like something or someone was in my room. Services were poor too. I’ve travelled for business across more than 80% of India, and this was among my worst experiences. The staff behaved very poorly. Unlike other hotels that give a complimentary bottle of water each day, this one charged for it.

Bed bug place. I couldn’t sleep all night.

We had to make do with the single bed because the triple bed room we were given was so uncomfortable. The floor hadn’t been swept, the sheets were dirty and torn, and the mattress on the right side of the bed was broken. The washroom hadn’t been cleaned either. There was no flush water, and the tap water was brown, maybe from iron. The cupboards and dressing table hadn’t been wiped down. We couldn’t get another room, and it was late at night, so we had to adjust. Please check carefully if you book here, and others should be careful too. At checkout in the morning, the person at reception argued instead of apologizing. He was very rude, spoke badly, and didn’t know how to talk to a woman properly. The whole experience was very pathetic.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and no disturbance. There’s no restriction on outside food or drinks, so you can just stay and order food online. The towels weren’t very clean, though. There’s no lift, but compared with other properties it’s the best. Breakfast quality wasn’t good. You can choose the online breakfast service, or use ZOMATO for better quality.
