OYO 16396 Riverview Guest House

My friend josh and I had an exceptional stay at the river view guest house. Manoj, the owner, was kind and extremely helpful. He gave us great recommendations and helped arrange our next bus, along with all the other help he offered. We’d absolutely recommend this place.

The host was amazing and gave us great restaurant recommendations nearby. We had a very good stay at the Riverview guest house and would definitely book it again next time I’m in Guwahati.

The owner was warm and friendly, and I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Guwahati. It’s a spacious, clean, upgraded apartment-style home with AC and a small balcony overlooking the river. Food choices are limited, and meals are cooked on demand. The location is wonderful, directly across the road from the Brahmaputra. In Nov 2024, a beautiful riverside walkway was being built across the road. There’s a ghat right in front; renovation was going on when we visited, so there was no road traffic, though it might get noisy when the ghat is open.

I came alone for one night and felt safe and comfortable. The owner and staff were really friendly, sweet, and helpful, and offered all the support I needed. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the washroom had hot water, so everything was hassle-free. The guest house is in a beautiful area with a great view of the bramhaputra river. I’d definitely come again and recommend it to anyone travelling to guwahati.
