Oyo 3823 Marigold Club

The locality is safe, and there’s a huge property to stroll around in the evening or early morning. It’s around 5-7 kms from main City centre, and it’s the DB City club house with seven spacious, cozy, good rooms. Service and staff are good overall, although sometimes the room service guy forgets an order or is slow. The swimming pool, billiards and pool table, and gym all have separate charges.

It’s very secure inside the dB city campus, and the rooms and fixtures are brand new and very likeable. The place is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We didn’t get hot water because their pump was out of order. The gym downstairs has no rubber matting, so from early morning you can hear dumbbells and weights being dropped, along with loud music.

This is a club inside a residential society, not really a hotel. It has only five rooms and is hardly occupied by visitors, so you can find yourself alone. The room AC didn’t cool enough, and the staff amounted to one guard, one helper, and one woman at reception. In the evening we were allowed into the snooker room, but the AC stayed off despite repeated requests. We had to put up with it for the night and check out as early as we could. The Goibibo app lists amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, billiards room, gym, outdoor activities, and kids playing area, but all of them are chargeable. Reception said they’d take the matter up with Goibibo but wouldn’t provide the services. After we complained to Goibibo, we were allowed to use the amenities, though the indoor swimming pool remained inaccessible. I couldn’t cancel because the booking was non refundable. I had the worst experience I’ve ever had. Don’t book this hotel for a stay.

The rooms and bathrooms are decent, but the service was awful. The AC barely cooled, and there was no water from the taps. Nobody took our complaints seriously, and even the receptionist wouldn't answer the phone.
