The night shift receptionist, Abhishek, is spoiling the experience for regular guests. Please pay attention to him. When my friend came to visit me at night, the staff used to speak politely because she was a girl. But Abhishek threatened me on behalf of the hotel owner, and his words were out of line. It happened at night, when he seemed comfortable at the reception. Thanks a lot.

I booked an AC room online for two days and paid in advance, but when I arrived they refused to give me one. Instead, they put me in room 302, which smelled bad and hadn’t been cleaned properly. Water was coming in through the roof and walls. The worst hotel stay I’ve had in two days here. I’d give it minus 10.

The staff are very good, and the service is great. Whenever I come to Gwalior, I stay here.

The room cleanliness and general maintenance were poor, and the staff were rude and unhelpful whenever I raised concerns. They seemed uninterested in dealing with the room or air conditioning problems. I booked a room advertised with AC at OYO Hotel O Royal in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. At check-in, the front desk tried to charge extra for it, and I had to pay. Even then, the AC didn’t work properly. They only ran it for 1-2 hours a day, leaving the room hot and stuffy. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and well below what I’d expect even from a budget hotel. It was extremely disappointing and felt unsafe. I’d strongly advise other travelers to look elsewhere and save their money.
