6/10
The restaurant and terrace club were the strongest parts of the hotel for me, and both are very good. The building and rooms seem thoughtfully designed; with better upkeep, they could easily be at a 3-star level. But the poor maintenance and hygiene really bring down the overall experience.

8/10
The staff were flexible and gave me an upgrade as well as an early check-in. It's a good budget hotel near the station and Jai Vilas Palace. The old city is 3-4 kms away and reachable by auto. My room was clean and fine for what I needed, nothing fancy. The staff should be more professional, though. They shouldn't come into the room to do housekeeping while a guest is inside. Other than that, everything was okay.

2/10
The room had open electrical wires, a serious shock hazard, and its overall condition was unacceptable. It smelled strongly unpleasant, looked poorly maintained, and did not match the MakeMyTrip photos. In the bathroom, cracked and broken tiles and fungus on the walls made it unhygienic. The cleanliness was not acceptable, and this was far below what was promised when I booked.

The food was good, and the service was very nice. The staff were attentive, and their hospitality deserves appreciation.

A beautiful place with really nice people. The rooms are comfortable and come in different sizes. There's lots of variety and flavor in the very nice, delicious food too. Don't miss it if you're going to Gwalior.
