A budget-friendly option near Hospet KSRTC bus stand and Hospet Junction railway station. Shanbag Hotel and Shirdi sai tiffins are right next door; both serve vegetarian food that's good and worth the price. Thanks to the owner/manager for guiding us on a tour of Hampi.
A good hotel for the budget, in an excellent location. The amenities are basic, but the owners are warm and welcoming and take good care of guests. The rooms are comfortable, and there are plenty of food options right outside.
The upper-floor rooms are better. The ground-floor ones felt average by comparison, especially considering they charge for a full 24-hour check-in period.
We got the last room available, and even after paying 2000 for a basic room, there wasn't a water bottle, towels, soap, or any other basic amenities. We had clearly said we planned to leave around 5-6am, but the place was locked, nobody was at reception, and no staff responded when we asked for help. The gate was closed too. It made us question staying there at all. Keep these things in mind if you're considering this place.
For the price, the room was budget friendly, and it was a good one near hampi. We got four beds and two bathrooms in the same room. Thanks to the manager for suggesting it, and for the good service.
