I chose Lakshmi Heritage Tourist Guest House as a solo traveler, and the location by the Virupaksha Temple was a big part of that. Hampi Bazaar is only a minute away, with plenty of good cafes and places to eat nearby. The rooms are spacious and well cared for, with a homely feel that made me comfortable. Kiran, the owner, was especially kind and gentle, and made sure guests were looked after. It was a peaceful, comfortable base in Hampi, and I'm glad I stayed there.

Kiran Patil was a polite, friendly host, and the guesthouse has a relaxed, homely feel. The rooms are neat and comfortable, with the basic facilities, and the surroundings are quiet after a day exploring. It's a practical, budget-friendly place for seeing Hampi's monuments and village life, with the main sights and cafes easy to reach. Virupaksha Temple is within walking distance, and there are several restaurants nearby. There's no four-wheeler parking at the property, but you can park near Virupaksha Temple. The focus here is on hospitality and a comfortable place to return to, rather than a commercial hotel setup. Hosts can help with travel tips and local arrangements.

The area around Lakshmi heritage Homestay was lovely and peaceful, and the location made it easy to get around. Virupaksha Temple is walkable, and Hampi Market is nearby. The hosts were humble, friendly, and always ready to help us feel comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe here. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hampi.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Lakshmi Hertiage - Hampi, and Kiran was a cheerful, helpful owner throughout. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we had warm water the whole time. There are food options all around: Appu tiffin centre was my favorite for a budget meal, and Gopi roof top restaurant is directly across from the property. Hampi main market is just around the corner, and you can see Shri Virupaksh temple from the rooftop. There are also general stores right in front for last-minute needs. The location and comfort were just what we wanted for the trip, with the main attractions close by. I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Hampi. And watch out for monkeys.

Laxmi Heritage Tourist Home is a handy, affordable base in the middle of Hampi’s historical bazaar, with a homely feel and easy access to the UNESCO sites. The guest house is in Janata Plot, about 2 minutes from Virupaksha Temple and a short walk from the Tungabhadra River and Hampi Bazaar. It's also well placed for sunrise at Matanga Hill or sunset at Hemakuta Hill without taking an auto-rickshaw. The rooms come in AC and Non-AC options. They're basic but practical, with comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, a small desk, clean linens, well-kept bathrooms, and 24-hour hot water. Some upstairs rooms open onto a terrace overlooking nearby temple gopurams. Laundry is available, and they can arrange airport or railway station pickups. Kiran Patil was a real highlight. He's knowledgeable about Hampi's history and helps guests plan daily routes to avoid crowds, arrange rickshaw tours or moped rentals, and sometimes check in early, often from 9:30 AM if a room is ready. There isn't food service at the guest house beyond its bed-and-breakfast setup, but local spots are close. Gopi Restaurant is across the lane, and Taste of Brahmins, known for idlis, is around the corner. The lane is narrow, as is typical in the old bazaar, which may feel tight if you're used to large hotels. This is also a dry zone, like most of the temple side of Hampi. A good fit for solo travelers, couples, and digital nomads looking for a safe, clean, central place to explore the ruins, and good value in the Hampi Bazaar area.
