Vijayshree Resort, Hampi

The resort itself was good, and most of the staff were good too. The greenery and spacious, well-kept grounds made it relaxing after sightseeing, and our room was comfortable. There was a good breakfast spread and plenty of facilities for families and children. But one buggy driver’s attitude felt judgmental and unwelcoming. Guests should feel respected regardless of their appearance, background, or requests, and a resort of this standard should make sure staff interactions are courteous and professional. Better guest handling by a few employees would improve the experience.

The staff were warm, attentive, and helpful, and the food was delicious with a range of cuisines. One evening they arranged a beautiful candlelight dinner for us under the waterfall. Our room had its own indoor pool, and even the switches and room design showed attention to detail, with a royal feel throughout. The resort is stunning, modern, well built, and very well maintained. Humpy is beautiful too, and together they made a perfect vacation. We’d love to visit again soon.

The staff were cordial and the food was decent, but the price doesn’t match what you get. For a 5-star resort, the breakfast choices were surprisingly limited. Aside from the large pool and indoor games area, there isn’t much in the way of amenities, and mosquitos in the gaming zone made it less enjoyable. Activities like the bullock cart ride also cost extra instead of being included with the room, as they are at other properties. The resort is huge and undeniably beautiful.

As a first-time solo traveller I was nervous, but felt at ease as soon as I arrived. The staff were caring, warm, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged with the amenities I needed. The resort is well maintained, with lush greenery and peaceful surroundings that were a welcome break from everyday chaos. I also loved the fresh food and authentic local flavours. The property felt secure, which helped me feel safe throughout my stay. Vijayshree Resort became a safe haven in Hampi, and I left grateful, with wonderful memories. I’d recommend it to other visitors, especially solo travellers looking for comfort, peace, and a welcoming atmosphere.
