The rooms are decent, and so is the place. I gave it three stars because the manager ignored my feedback about cleaning a sweat or spilled-fluid stain off the couch. A hotel should respond promptly to important cleanliness concerns.

On my second day, the staff refused to serve the breakfast that was included in my payment. They were very rude, and from night until 10 in the morning there was no manager. Just one person was at the hotel, and he responded so poorly it felt as if nobody was there.

The hotel interior was clean, but the surrounding area was full of filth, and the staff weren’t customer friendly. At 5 pm I asked for tea and was told the kitchen had closed and would reopen at 6. When I asked them to get tea from outside for my ailing wife, they flatly refused. Later, when I asked about a taxi to the airport at 2 am, they said no taxis ran in the area at night and refused to help. I had to leave at midnight and wait at the airport with my ailing wife. I don’t know how to put my grievance into words. I wouldn’t call it one of the worst hotels, but its service was the worst I’ve seen.

The hotel cancelled my parents’ booking on the day they were due to check in. I’d booked FabExpress Vinita Welcome well in advance and called Fabhotel the day before to confirm. I clearly explained they’d arrive after 6 PM because of their train. They assured me the reservation was confirmed and I didn’t need to do anything else. I made sure I’d heard right, since my parents had a very long journey ahead. Less than two hours before they reached the hotel, we got a notice that the hotel had cancelled. When I called to ask why, it was clear they didn’t understand customer service. Saying “we are sorry” or “it’s not our fault” doesn’t fix a miserable night spent looking for somewhere else after a 36-hour train journey. Be wary, and have a backup hotel if you book here.
